They say the devil is in the details and in this case we are talking oil cups. These little reservoirs serve a valuable service for both the prototype locomotive and our models. I noticed that there were many varieties of these employed on locomotives around the turn of the 20th Century and that BLW had a few distinct patterns of their own. While I modeled these in 2.5″ scale they varied greatly in size so could be suitable for a range of models from 1.5″ to 3.75″ scale.
The Pattern #4477 oil cup features a 1/2″ hex base; a true to scale internal reservoir and is ready for you to finish with a 1/4′ or smaller thread. All of our cups come as a pair of un-machined investment castings for you to thread and drill your choice of oil delivery hole.
Pr. of Brass #4477 Oil Cups $58.50 / Inquire for machined cost.
