As we travel to live steam meets and pursue our own projects Jeff and Larry share ideas and we continue to develop new products. Most of these items are inspired by narrow gauge prototypes and turn of the century locomotives and rolling stock. Please let us know if you have an idea or simply a unique project that we may be able to help develop with you. In the meantime watch for some new cab lighting featuring real glass chimneys and more polished brass details in 2.5″ to 3.75″ scale. We have another clock in the works for the larger scales and, a set of early style classification lamps based on those found on Forney type locomotives found in Hawaii, Maine, and elsewhere.

One project I’ve been working on for my own engine may be available if there’s interest among the narrow gauge modelers in the hobby. I’m working out the final details of a working model of an H. Belfield patented Signal Bell. Its a nice representation of the prototype found on the Glenbrook (see below) and was a common feature aboard locomotives of the Hawaiian railroads who made frequent flag or whistle stops as signaled by the conductors. Yes it actually rings.

Ask about our investment cast mounts and brackets we’re developing for our cab lamps and other details. These add that extra touch and a solution for some mounting challenges.

Thanks so much for all of your encouragement and kind words about our products and we hope you’ll keep us in mind when that special detail is all that you need for your next project.
