A while back I visited the Wiscasset, Waterville, and Farmington Railroad Museum in Maine and had the pleasure of exploring the engine house and riding in one of their beautifully restored locomotives. Among the hundreds of photos I took, I was particularly drawn to the period tools in use. I’ve been inspired to make a line of tools suitable for the cab, caboose, or MOW car. The first was the D&RGW Coal Shovel and then this late 19th or early 20th Century ‘Monkey Wrench’. The fully-functioning wrench comes as a easily assembled kit with four precision investment cast brass parts, the stainless adjusting screw, and wooden handle stock in Cherry, Oak, or Walnut.
